The Interrogation

Kerttu Nuorteva is a Finnish woman. During the Second World War she spies for the Soviets in Helsinki. One day she is caught and taken in for questioning. The aim of the interrogation is to learn the methods of Soviet intelligence. The film passes almost entirely inside that questioning. Two people in a room carry the whole of the account. The talk between them turns into a struggle for power. In time the questioner and the questioned change places. The account builds it as a period story set in the forties. Hannu-Pekka Björkman is also in the cast. Minna Haapkylä and Marcus Groth take the leads in Jörn Donner’s Finnish film of 2009.
