What The Lost City Is About

Havana, 1958. Fico Fellove runs a nightclub while his two brothers take up arms against Batista. Batista falls, Castro arrives, and the Fellove family's world closes. Andy Garcia directed it and plays the lead; as an exile whose family left Cuba, he looks at the revolution from a position opposed to it throughout, so the film is politically partisan and does not hide it. It runs close to two and a half hours and moves slowly. Bill Murray appears as a writer who is never named, and Dustin Hoffman plays Meyer Lansky.
