The Mouthpiece

Vincent Day works as a prosecutor. In court he is a solid speaker. In one case he gets the defendant convicted. The sentence is carried out. Then it turns out the man was innocent. But it is too late by then. Day swears he will never prosecute again. He turns to defence work and starts taking clients. At first the money he makes is very little. Someone he knows tells him how it really works. The real money is in defending the guilty. After that Day changes his course. In the courtroom he leans on showmanship. Celia Farraday, who works with him, objects to it. Warren William and Sidney Fox take the leads. James Flood and Elliott Nugent directed the American film of 1932.
