What The Party Is Over Is About
Céleste and Sihem meet in a rehabilitation centre and attach themselves to each other almost immediately. What holds them together is wanting the same thing, which is to stay clean. Once they are moved out and left on their own, that bond turns into both their only support and their greatest danger, because if one of them falls the other cannot stay standing. Marie Garel-Weiss refuses to draw recovery as a straight line, and relapse is part of the story rather than its failure. Zita Hanrot and Clémence Boisnard lead, and the film treats their friendship almost as a love story.
