The School Waltz

Gosha and Zosya are in their final year at school. The two of them love each other. The school ball is held and graduation comes. Nothing seems to stand in their way. Then Zosya tells him she is pregnant. At that news Gosha pulls back. He does not want the responsibility. He chooses another road for himself. He marries Dina, who has loved him for a long time. Dina goes into the marriage gladly. But at the registry office she understands something. Getting Gosha is not the same as getting his love. Zosya for her part has to make her own decision. Elena Tsyplakova and Sergei Nasibov take the leads, with Yevgeniya Simonova also in the cast, in Pavel Lyubimov’s Soviet film of 1977.
