What The Unsaid Is About
Michael Hughes is a psychologist who stopped practising after his son's death and talks to nobody. A former colleague asks him to take on a hard case: a troubled young man with no family left and no reason to trust anyone. As the bond between them turns personal, the distance goes, and it becomes unclear whose benefit the therapy is for. McLoughlin's film moves like a thriller, but its real subject is a man who never spoke about his grief looking for himself in somebody else.
