What Traveller Is About

There is a feast in a small town. The town is inland in Minas Gerais. The celebration is for the patron saint. A stranger arrives while it is going on. His name is Rafael. Nobody knows him. He leaves as suddenly as he came. What he leaves behind stays. Ana de Lara is a wealthy widow, and she takes her share of it. Missy is still a young girl, and she is caught up in it too. There is also Juca do Vale, a man who has done wrong and whom passion makes human. The film comes from a novel by Lúcio Cardoso, who died in 1968 before finishing it. Marília Pêra appears in the hundred and fourteen minute film, a Brazilian production Paulo César Saraceni finished in 1998.
