Tumbleweed

Jim Harvey is hired to guard a small wagon train heading west. When the train is attacked, Harvey leaves it to negotiate, banking on having once saved the life of the chief Aguila’s son. He is taken prisoner, and everyone left behind is killed except two sisters. Turning up in town after his escape, he is nearly hanged as a deserter and gets away again. When the sheriff and his posse finally catch him they come under attack themselves; this time the attackers are driven off, and the dying Aguila names the white man who arranged the first raid. Audie Murphy leads the Universal picture, which came out in December 1953 and takes its title from the name of his horse. It was shot at Vasquez Rocks, Red Rock Canyon and in Death Valley.
