The documentary sets out Steven Greer's argument. Greer is a former emergency physician who has worked for years on the claim of extraterrestrial contact. In the film he argues this: governments know, the evidence is kept secret, and the structure running it answers to nobody, not even to elected officials. To support the claim it uses statements from people who say they were soldiers, pilots and government employees; declassified documents are also shown. Its second strand is energy; Greer says technology has been suppressed. Michael Mazzola directs. Giancarlo Esposito narrates. The person at its centre is Steven Greer. The money was raised by crowdfunding and the campaign was announced as one of the largest of its kind. The documentary is built as a continuation of the public testimony gatherings Greer had held earlier. Its method is testimony; the claims rest largely on what individuals state and no independent verification is offered. Some of the documents shown genuinely come from archives, but the link between their content and the conclusion drawn is the film's own reading. The documentary was not accepted in scientific circles and the claims put forward are not verified. Its limit is method; no opposing view is given room and the narrative runs one way. Who it is for: anyone curious about conspiracy narratives and the argument over life beyond Earth. Who it is not for: the claims are unverified, the structure one sided, and it runs long.
