What Vavien Is About
Celal is an electrician in a small town, the shop he runs with his brother is failing and he is not happy at home. His only escape is a nightclub in Samsun and a woman who works there. When he learns that his wife Sevilay has been saving the money her father sends from Germany, a plan occurs to him, and from that point the film slides out of comedy into something else. The vavien of the title is the two-way switch, operated from either end, which describes both the electrician's trade and the way the story keeps flipping.
