Jenny learns that she is pregnant. The father is her boyfriend Bolle. The news stirs mixed feelings in her. There is joy in it and there is fear. Their relationship is wearing down under drug addiction. Jenny is also in trouble with the law. When the youth welfare office hears of the pregnancy, it requires her to work with a family midwife. She does not want this. Her first son is already growing up with her own mother. Meeting the midwife Marla starts off at a distance for that reason. In time, though, an unexpected bond forms between the two women. Jenny finally tells her what she has been keeping back. In a few weeks she has to begin a prison sentence. The offence dates from years ago. The film is the director’s first feature. Emma Nova and Paul Wollin appear in the hundred and seventeen minute film, a German production Chiara Fleischhacker finished in 2024.
