Where Eskimos Live

Sharkey is an Englishman. He presents himself as working for UNICEF. He says he is rescuing orphans of the war. In fact he is inside the trade in children. He finds them and sells them on. Vlado is a boy who lost his family in the war. He dreams of freedom and a better life. Sharkey takes him along. The two set out across a wrecked Bosnia. The road is long and dangerous. Something unexpected forms between them. Getting out of the country turns out to be harder than he thought, because an officer he deals with blames a group of children for his daughter’s death, and Vlado is counted among them. Bob Hoskins and Sergiusz Zymelka appear in the ninety five minute film, finished by Tomasz Wiszniewski in 2002.
