What Wild Seed Is About
There is a girl of seventeen. She runs away from her home on the east coast. She wants to reach Los Angeles. Her birth father is there and she means to find him. She learned of him from letters her mother had kept. By those letters he was separated from her before she was born. The journey is long and she has no money. On the road she meets a young drifter. He lives tied to nobody. He looks after her and travels on with her. Something slowly grows between the two of them. But they are not looking for the same thing. The film was shot in black and white. It was the first feature its director made. Michael Parks, Celia Milius and Rupert Crosse appear in the ninety nine minute film, an American production Brian G. Hutton finished in 1965.
