Gábor Benő Baranyi's 2022 Hungarian film follows Misi, who takes part in a drug trial. As a side effect he can travel back in time, but only when he drinks a homemade spirit. The humour comes from that limitation. Misi is drunk on every attempt and cannot control where he returns; the narrative does not take time travel seriously and breaks its rules freely. It is a low-budget production with limited effects. The cast is young; the narrative keeps provincial life and the difficulty of finding work in the background. The tone is black comedy. Who it's for: those who like Eastern European black comedy and low-budget genre experiments. Who it's not for: viewers expecting consistent science fiction; the film uses its own logic as a joke.
