Álvaro Cervantes

On the Goya record for Adú of 2020, Álvaro Cervantes's name stands in two places: in Salvador Calvo's cast, and among the nominees for best supporting actor. The record says where the nomination stopped as well. The film turned four of its thirteen nominations into awards, but the categories won were direction, new actor, production supervision and sound; his was not among them, so on the acting side the award went only to the newcomer Adam Nourou. The same institution holds two further films of his, The Final Game and 1898: Our Last Men in the Philippines, which Calvo directed too, but on both his name goes no further than the entrants list.
