Angela Winkler

What stands out across Angela Winkler's ten films here is a position in the billing: she is second on seven of them. She heads a cast only on The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum, from 1975, while on Danton of 1983 and Suspiria of 2018 she comes fourth. The works we hold reach from 1969 to 2018, forty-nine years, and she performs in every one. Film Independent's 2019 record awards Suspiria; the item is written to the film, and among its recipients a fourteen-strong ensemble cast is counted, with Winkler on that list. The vote weight settles on the same film. The Tin Drum of 1979 and Benny's Video of 1992 belong to the second-billed seven.
