Dougray Scott

Dougray Scott plays the villain Ambrose in John Woo's espionage film of 2000. Andrew O'Hehir, in his BFI archive review, writes that the director made good use of his handsome look as an element of design, but that Ambrose never gets beyond a collection of malevolent attitudes. In the same archive a piece on To Kill a King says that his having been cast as the reasonable man in the middle is probably not his fault, and that he never quite delivers the charisma the part demands.
