Fionnula Flanagan

Fionnula Flanagan plays Bree's mother in Duncan Tucker's Transamerica. The archive's notice calls the part a scene-stealer: a terrifying southern mother in kitten-heel mules and too much powder. The same piece counts the unholy trio installed in Bree's house in Phoenix, the loud-voiced mother, the unshakeable father and the barely sober sister, among the things the film gets right.
