Jim Carter

Michael Temple's piece in the Sight and Sound archive is severe about Vigo Passion for Life of 1997 and names the part Jim Carter plays in it, the anarchist Bonaventure. Closing the review, the critic quotes a line of Carter's and turns it against the film itself. Nine films carry Carter here, between 1987 and 2025, every one a performing credit; three are Downton Abbey entries from one series, his cast places there third, third and fifth. The vote race is won by a hair: The Good Liar takes it with Downton Abbey eight votes behind.
