Loren Dean

Loren Dean acted in Tony Scott's Enemy of the State of 1998. Kim Newman put the film's shrewdest move down to its casting: the team around the intelligence man Jon Voight plays was built out of a set of Generation X faces mostly familiar from independent films, and counting that set off, Newman gave one of three names to Dean. The same text names the other half of the move, the muscle side of the team handed to second-generation tough guys. Dean figures here through the film's casting architecture, then, and not through anything said about his playing.
