What 100 Is About
A young officer working in a police control room follows up a report of a kidnapping that comes in on the night shift. All he has is a voice and a line; he cannot see the city, only hear it, and as the hours go on he understands the case is far larger than it looked. Sam Anton turns a confined space into an instrument of tension in the Tamil police thriller mode, and the strongest thing about the film is that what is described is never shown. Atharvaa Murali leads opposite Hansika Motwani, and the film remembers how often the voice on the other end goes unheard.
