13 Factors That Saved Apollo 13

On the thirteenth of April 1970 Apollo 13 was a long way from Earth. A serious malfunction hit the spacecraft. Oxygen started leaking away. Three astronauts were suddenly facing death. Mission Control had to find a way to bring them back. If it could not, the crew would be stranded out there. Power on board was low and supplies were limited. The teams on the ground worked around the clock for days. They engineered a fix for the build up of carbon dioxide. Dehydration and the freezing cold were problems of their own. The documentary takes those problems one at a time. It counts out the thirteen factors that got the crew home. Footage from the NASA archive is used. There are interviews with space scientists of the period. Elliot Weaver and Zander Weaver made the hundred and four minute documentary, an American production finished in 2014.
