What 7 Minutes Is About
A textile factory changes hands, and the new owners offer the workforce a single condition: nobody will be laid off, and in return seven minutes will come off the lunch break. The decision falls to the workers' committee, eleven women, and the film stays almost entirely in that one room. Seven minutes sounds like nothing, until somebody asks why anyone would bother asking for something so small. Placido adapted it from Stefano Massini's play, and the argument turns into one about what each signature makes possible next.
