What A Chorus of Angels Is About

The teacher Kawashima Haru takes up a post on a remote island off the coast of Hokkaido and is put in charge of six pupils. But an accident happens and she has to leave the island. Twenty years later she learns that one of her former pupils has been involved in a crime, and she returns to the island. The return brings out that what happened that day stands differently in everyone’s memory; nobody remembers the same thing. The film does not go after a crime; it tells a teacher weighing her own responsibility.
