What A Christmas Winter Song Is About
Clio, who runs a Christmas shop, is spending her first December since losing her father, and this year she does not want to sing at the town show she used to appear in with him. Meeting Fred, a former jazz singer who has ended up on the street, changes the course of both their lives. The bond they build through music gives Clio room to carry her grief and gives Fred a way back to the daughter he has not spoken to in years. The songs in the film are not decoration but the thing that carries the story. The account puts two lonely people side by side in the crowd of December and shows that the help runs both ways. Ashanti and Stan Shaw appear in Camille Brown’s ninety minute American television film, completed in 2019.
