Aakhree Raasta

David is released after twenty four years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The three men who framed him and sent him away are now leading figures in his town. Straight out of the gate he goes to the church and tells the priest that he intends to kill those three men and is asking for pardon in advance. He finds the old friend he left his son with; he had wanted the boy raised as a criminal, and instead his son has become a policeman. From that point father and son are set against each other. K. Bhagyaraj wrote and directed the hundred and sixty four minute Hindi film, in which Amitabh Bachchan plays both father and son; it is a remake of a Tamil film Bhagyaraj also wrote, and it was a large commercial success in 1986.
