Aan Paavam Pollathathu

Kalaiarasan Thangavel's 2025 Tamil film is about a couple who decide to separate in the first year of marriage. What is wrong between Sakthi and Siva is not a great betrayal or a fight but small misunderstandings, differences of habit and how each reads the other's behaviour. Sakthi cannot tell whether these are the signs of a harmful relationship or a passing incompatibility, and she begins divorce proceedings. The film presents the separation not as an outcome but as a process, showing in detail the families becoming involved, attempts at mediation and each side constructing its own account. The tone lies between comedy and drama and it does not put either party wholly in the right. Who it's for: viewers who like relationship drama and recent Tamil cinema. Who it's not for: anyone expecting a clear close; the film delays the decision.
