P. Arumugakumar's 2025 Tamil film follows Kannan, who goes to Malaysia to leave his past behind. As he tries to build an orderly life he learns that the woman he loves needs money and commits a robbery; the man he targets is both a powerful gang leader and her stepfather. The film uses crime, comedy and action together with the weight on comedy. Vijay Sethupathi's calm playing carries the story without ever making the hero threatening. The Malaysian locations give it a different look. Its weakness is a tone that keeps changing and a final section that gives in to the action template. Who it's for: viewers who like Tamil crime comedy and Vijay Sethupathi's work. Who it's not for: anyone wanting a single consistent genre, or avoiding violent content.
