What Agitator Is About
A young yakuza harasses the customers in a rival family's nightclub. Not long after, his body is found. Reprisals begin between the two families and a senior boss is killed. Kenzaki swears to avenge his boss. But above the two families another calculation is running: the large organisations are using this fight for their own balance of power, and the men on the street have no idea. The body count rises fast and nobody comes out ahead. Takashi Miike directs; two and a half hours. Masaya Katō plays Kenzaki, and Miike himself appears in the cast. One of his straight-to-video yakuza films: fast, cheap, and indifferent to the usual rules of storytelling.
