What All Wishes Come True! Is About
The animation tells as comedy how the Eight Immortals, the best known eight of Chinese folk story, came by that name. Eight ordinary people use their wits, their street cunning and a series of absurd schemes against gods they have no chance against by strength; each arrives with his own weakness and has to learn to hold together with the others. The account does not break the known shape of the legend, but builds its heroes as clumsy and stubborn people rather than as flawless figures. Mu Zhengyang’s hundred and forty three minute Chinese animation was completed in 2026, with Chen Hao and Huang Guo among the voices.
