Along the Way

João works as a lorry driver. There is a weight in his past he cannot carry. He leaves his home town and takes to the road. He drives across Brazil from one end to the other. Talking to nobody and attaching himself to nobody. One day he finds someone in the back of the lorry. The one hiding there is a small boy. His mother has died and he is looking for his father. At first João does not want the burden. He thinks of leaving the boy at the first town. But as the road runs on things between them change. They begin to talk and to get used to each other. In the end João finds the courage to face his own past. João Miguel and Vinicius Nascimento appear in the hundred and two minute film, a Brazilian production Breno Silveira finished in 2012.
