Rein has lost his mother. After the loss he decides to get away from the city. He settles in a small village in the Alps. What he wants there is to stay inside nature. His days pass in meditation and in teaching snowboarding. The life he has built is quiet and narrow. It suits him. Then his father Gijs comes to visit. The man is the opposite of his son. He is talkative, outgoing and fills every room. The quiet of the village breaks at once. The difference between father and son shows in every scene. Before long Rein has had enough. What lies between them has to do with the grief as well. The film tells that in the silence of the mountain. Reinout Scholten van Aschat and Gijs Scholten van Aschat appear in the hundred minute film, a Dutch, Slovenian and Swiss co-production Jan-Willem van Ewijk finished in 2025.
