Angry Indian Goddesses

Freida is a fashion photographer. She calls her closest friends to her family's house in Goa to announce that she is getting married. They come from all over India: Madhurita, who sings for Bollywood; Pamela, married to money; Suranjana, a businesswoman; Joanna, trying to make it as an actress. For a few days they drink, they quarrel, they tell each other things they have never said. Then an act of violence occurs and the film goes somewhere else entirely. Pan Nalin's film was described as India's first female buddy movie. Sarah-Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul and Tannishtha Chatterjee are among the cast. It finished second for the People's Choice Award in Toronto and first in Rome.
