Salih turns eighteen and leaves the orphanage. He goes looking for his family with a name and a place. He finds work on a farm. When he finds the man he is looking for it is not a reunion: this is the man who raped his mother during the Bosnian war. Salih stays in the house, becomes part of the family, and cannot decide what to do. Ozan Açıktan directs. The cast includes Meryem Uzerli, Ozan Güven, Belçim Bilgin and Okan Yalabık. Shooting began in 2015 and took place in Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia as well as Turkey. It was released on 11 March 2016 by BKM Film. The subject is the impossibility of revenge. Salih postpones the decision every day and not out of fear; the man's family treats him well, and that leaves the matter unresolvable. Systematic rape during the Bosnian war is a real fact and the position of the children born afterwards is still argued over in the region; the film takes it on directly. Its weakness is rhythm; after delivering its information the narrative stays in the same place for a long time and some supporting characters have no function. Who it is for: viewers who follow Balkan history and drama built on trauma. Who it is not for: the subject is very heavy, the pace is slow, and the ending does not deliver the reckoning expected.
