What Badri Is About
Vennela accuses Badri of not loving her sincerely and challenges him, saying nobody could love him as she does. But things change when Badri meets Sarayu; she attaches herself to him with a great love, and the lives of all three go a different way. The film also argues with the account that builds love as a contest: the question of who loves whom more rests on the assumption that love is a measurable thing. It runs romantic comedy and family drama inside the same picture. The account gives the two women different ground to stand on rather than setting them against each other as rivals. Pawan Kalyan plays the lead in Puri Jagannadh’s hundred and forty eight minute Telugu film, completed in 2000.
