Temper

Puri Jagannadh opens with a policeman who treats bribery not as a habit but as a worldview. Daya has measured everything in money since childhood, and NTR Jr. plays him without asking for sympathy. The hinge is a rape case, and the second half is the story of that case dragging a man into a morality he never wanted, with Prakash Raj set opposite him as an equally immovable figure. Puri's signature is all over it: loud dialogue, a camera that worships its lead, and lines pitched straight at the audience. Hindi cinema remade it in 2018 as Simmba, keeping the same architecture. Who it is for: viewers who enjoy Telugu commercial cinema, hero entrances and relentless tempo. Who it is not for: anyone who wants a gradual moral turn, since this one arrives all at once and set to music.
