Balas & Bolinhos: O Último Capítulo

Life is hard for Cultara, Rato and Bino. One of them cons, one of them steals, and one of them does not quite know what he is doing. Then their friend Tone, who has been out in the world, comes home for his father on his deathbed. Once the four of them are together an unexpected adventure follows and things get worse. Directed by Luís Ismael, who also acts in it, the film is the last part of the Balas & Bolinhos series. It was made for people who have watched the series from the start; the jokes, the characters and the references all belong to that audience. The telling mixes action into comedy and has no interest in being taken seriously. In Portuguese cinema it is an example of success that came straight from the audience rather than from festivals.
