Bandit

A man who escapes from prison in America crosses into Canada, takes a new identity and starts robbing banks. He keeps it up for years, in disguise, without hurting anyone. The film moves through the robberies quickly and gives its attention to his running two lives at once: his wife does not know who he is. The narrative does not justify him, and the police side stays thin. Allan Ungar directed. Josh Duhamel leads, with Mel Gibson in the cast. It is based on a real case. Who it's for: those who like true crime stories. Who it's not for: viewers who avoid films featuring Mel Gibson because of the racist and antisemitic remarks on record from him.
