Baramulla

DSP Ridwaan is posted to Baramulla to investigate a string of child disappearances. Strange things begin happening in the house he has moved into with his family, and the case and the home start bleeding into each other. Aditya Suhas Jambhale ties the horror to Kashmir's recent history: the ghosts on screen are built out of the absence left by the Kashmiri Pandit exodus of the 1990s. Manav Kaul is the film's center of gravity. He plays Ridwaan quietly, carrying the vulnerability without raising his voice, and holds still where the genre wants a jolt. Bhasha Sumbli plays his wife. It went up on Netflix on 7 November 2025 to mixed but mostly favourable reviews, with the performances and the cinematography singled out. Who it's for: Viewers who like performance-led supernatural thrillers anchored to a real political wound. Who it's not for: The horror leans on familiar shapes, and the film uses a lived tragedy as genre material, which some viewers will find uncomfortable.
