What Be With You Is About
After his wife Soo-a dies, Woo-jin is left alone with their small son Ji-ho. Before she died she made a promise: she would come back when the rainy season did. A year later she does come back, and remembers neither her husband nor her child. Lee Jang-hoon’s film is a remake of the 2004 Japanese picture, taking a fantastical premise and converting it entirely into a story about family and grief. It hides none of its feeling and fully intends to make you cry. So Ji-sub and Son Ye-jin lead.
