Kevin Sorbo J Jack Hibbs What Before The Wrath Is About
The documentary takes up the Christian belief in the Rapture, the expectation that believers will be taken from the world. Its claim is that the reasons behind that expectation lie in a first century cultural context, and that research in the Middle East is making that context visible again. Brent Miller Jr. directed, with Kevin Sorbo narrating. The film does not stage a scholarly debate; it argues openly for one reading of scripture, and its audience is the audience that already shares that reading. Saying so from the outset is the most honest thing about it.
