Between Sea and Land

Alberto is twenty eight years old. He lives in a coastal town in Colombia. His illness prevents him from moving. He is attached to a ventilator. His house is very close to the sea. Cross the road and the sea is there. Alberto has never been into it. That is his greatest wish. He counts it as impossible himself. His mother Rosa is with him. She carries her son’s life. She knows she cannot change the illness. She still looks for a way to make that wish happen. The story is built on the daily relationship between the two of them. The film won two awards at Sundance. Manolo Cruz and Vicky Hernández appear in the ninety eight minute film, a Colombian production Carlos del Castillo finished in 2016.
