Blind & Ugly

Ferdi thinks himself unattractive. Jona, for her part, takes an interest in him. Ferdi puts that down to her not being able to see. But Jona can in fact see. She is pretending to be blind. The reason is to live cheaply in subsidised housing. How long she can keep the pretence up is uncertain. A relationship forms between the two of them. But it is built on a lie. The account tests how much weight that lie can carry. Blind actors appear in the film as well. The director Tom Lass takes the lead part himself. The shooting was done in Berlin. Naomi Achternbusch and Tom Lass take the leads in this German film of 2017.
