What Blood Rain Is About
1808, under the Joseon dynasty. On a small island that lives by making paper, the paper store burns down and the killings begin. Each murder is carried out by a different method of torture. An investigator is sent from the capital. The islanders believe it is the ghost of a man wrongly executed seven years earlier. The investigator suspects something else: who informed on that man seven years ago. Kim Dae-seung directs, with Cha Seung-won and Park Yong-woo. It runs close to two hours. It begins like a ghost story and turns into an inquiry into a community covering up its own crime.
