What Born for You Is About
Alba is born with Down's syndrome and left at the hospital. Thirty families turn her down. In the end the court entrusts her to Luca: single, Catholic and gay. Italian law, dating from 1983, permits adoption only by couples married at least three years, so everything in front of Luca becomes both a legal and a personal fight. It happened: Luca Trapanese became the first single gay man in Italy to adopt a child with a disability. Fabio Mollo directs, from the book Trapanese wrote about it.
