What Born Invincible Is About
An arrogant white haired tai chi master and two of his men descend on a small town, frightening the people and their families into doing whatever they want. Three local fighters come together to stop the three of them, but the master has a single weak point on his body and can shift it wherever he likes. The story therefore turns the fighting into a puzzle rather than a matter of strength: first find the weak point, then reach it. Running in the vein of the independent martial arts films of the seventies, the production is fast and without ornament. Carter Huang and Lo Lieh appear in Joseph Kuo’s eighty three minute film, completed in 1978.
