Brado

Renato lives alone on a ranch. He breaks wild horses; they are the only creatures he has ever got on with. He left his family years ago. When his son Tommaso hears that his father is taking on another dangerous job, he comes to the ranch meaning to talk him out of it. With the two of them side by side, the old grievance comes up as well. Nobody apologises, nobody explains. Then they start working the horses, and what they are not saying slowly settles. Kim Rossi Stuart directs; a hundred and seventeen minutes. He plays the father himself, with Saul Nanni as Tommaso and Barbora Bobuľová in the cast. Rossi Stuart came to directing from acting, and his films keep returning to fathers and sons.
