Brothers

One day Alexander sets off without warning on a road trip to France. His brother Lukas goes along with him. Lukas has spent his whole life following that charismatic brother. As the journey goes on, Lukas understands that he now has to find his own way. How large that decision is, he does not yet know. The film places the relation between brothers inside a road story. That coming out of someone’s shadow is both a release and a loss is the real subject. Instead of large events the account looks at the change between two people. Jonas Smulders and Niels Gomperts appear in Bram Schouw’s hundred and five minute Dutch film, completed in 2017.
