Brothers: The Return

After his stolen getaway boat blows up, Hoffa washes ashore in Estonia. He tries to build a new life there, but missing his family wins out and he decides to get back to Sweden. The way home is hard: a past as a bank robber and a fugitive gets in front of him at every step, and the people waiting at the other end believe he is dead and have moved on. His family, meanwhile, is dealing with troubles of its own and running out of time. Erik Leijonborg’s film is in fact the third and final season of the series Tusenbroder, cut together as a single feature for cinemas on 10 March 2006 and shown later on television in its longer form. Ola Rapace plays Hoffa.
