ČERNÁK

Miki Cernak grew up in a small village. The village is called Telgart. Over the years he comes to head a criminal group. He is respected in his own circle. But that is not enough for him. He wants to run the whole of Slovakia. What he is after is to be the boss of all bosses. As he rises, men beside him change sides. There are also those who die along the way. Cernak leaves one power out of his reckoning. That power is the politicians and the secret service. The account follows that reckoning. The film runs as a crime thriller. Milan Ondrik and Dusan Cinkota take the leads, with Rebeka Polakova also in the cast, in Jakub Kroner’s Slovak and Czech coproduction of 2025.
